Political Map of Europe

Updated in 2006, this map covers the whole of the continent of Europe, going east as far as Moscow and south to North Africa. Each country is shown in a different colour from its neighbours, and the country names are given in the native language of that country (for example Deutschland and Espana rather than Germany and Spain). The cities are also in this format, with English translations where necessary (for example Praha/Prague).
A full legend is given in six languages (English, French, German, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish) showing motorways and principal roads, towns and cities (with population indicated in six different population bands). International airports and ferry routes are also shown. Iceland is shown in an inset at the same scale.
The map is permanently bonded between two sheets of tough, flexible, crystal-clear plastic. This finish allows you to “write on, wipe off” with dry or wet wipe pens. The map is also available laminated and framed in either superb satin-finish aluminium or dark or light wood supplied ready to display.

European Postcode Map

An ideal tool for anyone who conducts business across Europe, the European Postcode map is especially popular with transport companies and marketing firms. Updated and revised in 2006, this colourful map covers all of Europe from Norway in the north to Crete in the south and from Portugal in the west through to Azerbaijan in the east. Within each country the primary section of the Postcode is highlighted by coloured blocks and annotated. The UK is shown to Postcode Area level (e.g. OX) with an inset for the Greater London area. The base map shows cities and large towns along with motorways and major rivers (roads and rivers are not named). Countries are identified by their ISO country codes (e.g 'D' for Germany and 'F' for France), an index of these codes is provided in the key panel.

Europe from Space

This remarkable portrait of Europe from space was produced from resolution data collected from the NOAA group of weather satellites which orbit the earth at an altitude of over 820 km (520 miles). This satellite image was enhanced with shaded relief produced from a high-resolution digital model. The resulting portrait of Europe extends from Morocco in the west past the Ural mountains in the east and from the Barents Sea in the north to the Gulf of Suez in the south. In between can be clearly seen the snowcapped peaks of the Alps and the Pyrennees, and the wonderful fernlike effect of the Norwegian fjords.
