This instrument is for measuring distances of roads, streams, etc on maps with scales of 1:25 000, 1:50 000 & 1:100 000. The wheel features mileage readings on one side and kilometre measurements on the reverse.

Digital Map Reader

This handy device features a wheel which you roll across the map surface to receive automatic LCD readings of real distance. It features fully adjustable scales for use on all types of map, and can also be used as a ruler with a millimetre scale. There is a cleverly-concealed eight-digit calculator hidden under a plastic flap and a built-in electronic torch. There is also a compass embedded in the back of the device.
