Recently revised and updated, this is a clear and attractive map covering all of continental North America including the Aleutian Islands, Hawaiian Islands, Greenland, the West Indies and Central America. Countries are colour-coded and marked features include: main roads, freeways, principal railways, canals, State and international boundaries, State capitals, rivers and main National Parks. A new feature is a panel displaying the flag of each nation of North America as well as the flags of each State of the US.
The map is permanently bonded between two sheets of tough, flexible, crystal-clear plastic. This finish allows you to “write on, wipe off” with dry or wet wipe pens.

North America from Space

The portrait of North America extends from Ireland and the UK in the east to the tip of the Aleutians in the west and from Siberia in the north to the Galapagos Islands, off the coast of Ecuador, in the south. The continent of North America is cropped to show its proximity to Asia, over the polar icecap, the tiny gap between American Alaska and Russian Siberia, and South America drifting off to the south of the image. Note the relatively arid vegetation patterns of the Midwest culminating in the salt flats extending from the Great Salt Lake of Utah and moving south and west into the desert regions of Nevada. Compare the dense and vigorous vegetation patterns of the tropical jungles of northern South America to the more moderate boreal forests of the eastern United States and Canada where the tree line can be seen to migrate north the further west it goes.
